Fausta is a maternal orphan, who lives with her grandmother. Her mother died of HIV/AIDS and her father is also HIV positive. Fortunately, Fausta is HIV negative. Her father is very weak, does not work and struggles with alcoholism so, all the responsibilities of caring for Fausta falls on her grandmother who is a peasant.
