Prossy is a paternal orphan and stays with her mother, two sisters (Brenda’s profile is here) and two brothers in a single-roomed house in the suburb of Kassanda town. When her father died of HIV/AIDS, her mother took on all of the responsibilities of caring for the large family. She has no permanent job, but she collects firewood from the nearby plantation forests to sell. But the firewood is very scarce and hard to find so the family lives in poverty and sometimes fails to get their daily basic needs met. Getting an education is a challenge for Prossy because she misses school due to lack of scholastic materials and tuition fees. She wants to become a veterinary doctor, but her dream is in doubt and impossible without an education.
